A new Boland Athletics Board was elected at the 2016 Boland Athletics Quadrennial General Meeting which was held at the Dal Josaphat Staduim in Paarl on Saturday.
Dr Harold Adams was again elected unopposed to serve as Boland Athletics President for the next four years.
Adams has served as president of Boland Athletics for the past 14 years. Under his leadership Boland Athletics grew as one of the role models in South African sport.
He also serves as vice president for Athletics South Africa (ASA) and on the CAA board as well as the IAAF medical committee.
Other members of the Boland Athletics Board who were elected are Pieter Lourens, (vice chairperson), Godfrey Hammers (treasurer), Eric Adams Q(general secretary), Mike Fraser (chairperson cross country commission) and Brandon du Plessis (chairperson track and field commission).
Rejani Willemse and Mini Royi were also elected onto the ASA Board as additional members.
