Pan-fried ham and mozzarella sandwiches
- 4 slices of bread
- butter, enough to butter 4 slices
- 250 g mozzarella, sliced
- 4 slices of ham
- 8 fresh basil leaves
Preheat your oven to 160 °C. Butter the bread. Put some cheese on every slice. Put 2 slices of ham each on 2 slices of bread. Put basil on top of ham. Cover with the other 2 slices (which also have cheese on them). Butter one outer side of each sandwich. Put sandwiches in a hot pan, buttered side down. Now butter the top as well. Squash the sandwiches a bit with an egg lifter. Turn them over and fry the other sides. Put the sandwiches on a baking tray and put them in the oven for the cheese to finish melting.
