(Serves 4)

  • 250 g soft butter (do NOT use margarine)
  • Zest of 2 lemons
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 120 g grated parmesan
  • 30 g fresh basil, torn
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 500 g tagliatelle pasta

Mix soft butter, zest, garlic, parmesan and basil in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and black pepper. Keep to one side. Cook pasta according to instructions on pack, drain and mix warm pasta with the butter sauce.
