(Enough for 12 cupcakes)

  • 500 g (545 ml) soft butter
  • 650 g (1250 ml) icing sugar, sifted
  • 10 ml vanilla essence

Whisk butter in bowl of electric mixer until light and creamy (5 to 8 minutes). Add icing sugar and vanilla essence. Mix well. Use to decorate cooled cupcakes.
