We’ve recently launched an online course aimed at amateur photographers who want to learn the principles of photography and how to operate their camera

If you have a D-SLR but you tend to use the “Auto” or “Program” mode, this course is for you. Learn from the experts, get the most out of your camera and take your hobby to the next level.

How does it work?

You can start your first lesson as soon as you’ve registered and paid. You can work through the modules at your own pace and from the comfort of your chair – everything is online.

The course is divided into six modules. Click here to see an overview.

Cost?

R950 once-off fee. This gives you unlimited access to the course material. You can pay with your credit card or via EFT.

What sort of camera do I need?

Whether you have a big D-SLR, a point-and-shoot or even a cellphone, this course will improve your photography. One of the many things you’ll be learning about is composition, and good composition doesn’t require a specific camera.
We teach you how to get the most out of your D-SLR and explain the different functions and buttons so you can take better pictures.

We also cover platforms like Instagram, which works best with a smartphone, and will show you how to make your very own coffee table book from those images stored on your computer.

How do I sign up?

Go to takebetterphotos.gomag.co.za and click “sign up”. It’s as easy as that!
