Living life in pursuit of holiness

We find a lot of scriptures in the Bible that speaks holiness. It is the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit that enables us to make radical changes in the way we live, talk and think.

After being born again it is necessary for one to renew one’s mind and start walking in holiness. It is good to focus one’s words and thoughts on things that please and honour God.

Do not take ungodly advice and stay away from activities that lead to sin, and do not become cynical. Instead, enjoy God’s ways and set your heart on God’s Word. We must embrace the discipline and correction of the Lord, and know we will be blessed when we obey Him and trust in Him.

Radical, passionate life changing devotion bursts forth in our lives from one primary source: consistently being in the presence of the Lord. It is a place of shelter and safety. Abundant life, fulfilment and joy are to be found there.

Of all our being our mouths are the most difficult to control. Taming the tongue requires discipline, and we must guard carefully what we say. We see in 1 Peter 3:8-12 that there is a blessing associated with godly speech. It is good to keep your tongue from false flattery and pride. Make a decision to speak only that which is right and honours God.

Hebrews 12:14: “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” “For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness,” says 1 Thessalonians 4:7:

God bless.
