Winckler set to inspire

As a mother, businesswoman, author, image consultant, motivational speaker and TV presenter Aletté-Johanni Winckler knows how the daily tasks of women tend to run away from you, with your personal style and appearance often bearing the brunt.

Juggling all of your work, social and family responsibilities is tricky, but making time for yourself is essential to maintaining balance. This will be just one of the tools women of the Helderberg will be given when DistrictMail hosts its first Spring Inspiration morning at Erinvale Hotel & Spa on Saturday 21 September.

Winckler will be one of the guest speakers at the event, which promises to give delegates all the inspiration they need to tackle the new season. She is no stranger to the style and fashion industry. Over the last decade, her name and face has appeared almost everywhere.

As a published author, motivational speaker, songwriter, television presenter, style consultant, wife to pop singer Heinz Winckler, CEO of the SA Image Academy and mother of three, the fashionista has proven to be a trend-setting entrepreneur.

The journalism graduate’s fashion career started in 2009 when she enrolled in a course at the then internationally acclaimed South African Image Company. Here she mastered the ins and outs of style analysis, colour analysis, fashion styling and more.

But this was not enough for Winckler, who enrolled in the Certification Programme of the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) – a global organisation that sets and promotes the highest professional standards for image consultants in appearance, behaviour and communications – this year. She received her accreditation, making her the very first AICI certified image consultant trainer in South Africa.

Joining Winckler as one of the day’s guest speakers will be Herman Lensing, a top food writer, food editor, celebrity chef and TV presenter.

The Spring Inspiration MC will be Lucia Dramat – home-grown entrepreneur, radio presenter, public speaker, writer and encourager.

The talented chefs at Erinvale have created a menu fit for royalty, guaranteed to satisfy your every craving. It starts with prawn cocktail and vegetable dumpling welcome snacks, served with drinks on arrival.

The brunch will feature smoked salmon benedict, caprese tart, savoury mushroom custard, Parmesan chicken wraps and biltong tart. This will be followed by a sweet platter of assorted cupcakes, macarons and koeksisters with ginger anglaise.

This menu is but one of the many treats to look forward to . . .

Apart from the great speakers and other entertainment, there will also be drinks served, fantastic goodie bags, spot prizes and much more.

Each guest will receive a goodie bag valued at more than R400.

It will include Mukda Thai Spa vouchers, La Michelle Hair discount vouchers, Tafelberg Furnishers discount vouchers, Duchess non-alcoholic gin and tonic and Estée Lauder samples, among others.

The cost is R395 per ticket; there are limited tickets available.

Proceeds will go towards DistrictMail’s Keep a Girl in School campaign, which sees the newspaper collect and distribute sanitary towels to girls in need at Helderberg schools in underprivileged areas.
