ADT is wide awake

A local armed response officer assisted in two successes in the fight against crime in Stellenbosch last weekend.

“We are proud to have Thembela Mdingi on our team,” says Verena Hulme, Cape Town North district manager at Fidelity ADT. “On Sunday morning 6 September, he spotted an abandoned VW Combi standing on the Bottelary Road which seemed to be out of place. He contacted the monitoring centre, which confirmed that this vehicle had been reported as stolen earlier.”

The vehicle was handed over to the police.

Said Hulme: “Officer Mdingi was patrolling close to Koelenhof Wines when he came across three men loading building material onto a bakkie. It had been stolen from a customer’s farm on Thursday night.”

The suspects were taken into police custody.
