African entrepreneurs gather in Stellenbosch

The Africa Entrepreneurs conference will be held at the Stellenbosch Town Hall next week, 16 and 17 October.

It will seek to explore the impact of innovation in entrepreneurship, the role and relevance of education, strategies for entrepreneurial success, and how poverty in Africa can be alleviated through entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship has been identified as one of the solutions for stimulating growth in the economy and creating much needed jobs.

The African Entrepreneurs Conference was launched to ensure all trade and investment activities are conducted in an efficient, predictable, transparent and effective manner, in line with what is globally best practice in terms of norms, standards and technologies.

The conference will propel local entrepreneurs forward in their businesses, imparting skills and knowledge to make them become better entrepreneurs. There will be constant monitoring of the programmes embarked on and collaboration with key stakeholders, to make certain businesses are properly supported to succeed.

Some of our speakers include Dr Ernest Messina, chairperson of Groot Constantia Trust, Solly Moeng, South African Brand Ambassador, Porchia Adams, MD of pH Comms, Ayanda Mvimbi, Programme Director at the United Nations, Quinton Adams, Social Entrepreneur, Oliver Chikodzore, MD of On The Globe, Peter Banda, CEO of Project Management Zimbabwe, Elsmarie Rabe, Project Manager of Stellenbosch Wine Route, and Ency Litsoane, Western Cape Chairperson of the South African Women Entrepreneurs’ Network (SAWEN).
