Donate gifts for these children

Local Pearly Beach residents Ron and Karin Gumbrill have opened their hearts and decided that they want to give back to the community.

They will be hosting a children’s Christmas party in Eluxolweni, Pearly Beach, but need some help from the community.

According to Gumbrill she wants to create a day the children will never forget. “I have so much love in me, so why not share it with others,” she says. Gumbrill feels the world is filled with so much heartache, “and making children happy for those few hours will mean the world to me”.

A total of 150 children will be attending the Christmas party ranging from new born babies to 12-year-olds, but there is always a chance for more children to pitch.

Each child will be receiving a bag with a face cloth, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, roll-on, a comb, small bottle of body lotion, a Christmas mug, tissues and much more. They will also be receiving a gift bag filled with toys, stationery and puzzles and party bags.

“Items for boys from the age five to 12-years-old are still needed. Items such as toys, balls, frisbees, sunglasses anything boys that age would like, will be appreciated.”

The Gumbrills would like to thank each and everyone who have donated whether it be items for the bags or funds.

The last day to make donations will be on Thursday 5 December.

To make donations contact Karin on 076 372 8426.
