L2L to decide which charity

The Lighthouse 2 Lighthouse ladies are changing lives once again.

On Wednesday 14 August the Lighthouse 2 Lighthouse ladies invite businesses from all over the Overstrand and the community to a presentation evening to be held at the United Church in Hermanus.

On this evening the charities that have been short listed will each have the opportunity to do a presentation as to why they should be the charity of choice.

The final eight charities have been chosen and are on the shortlist: The Butterfly Foundation, Overstrand Hospice, Child Welfare Hermanus, Learn to Learn, Flower Valley, SOFCA, Kidscan – Kleinmond and Kleinmond Overstrand Child & Youth Care Centre – Child Welfare SA. The community and businesses will also be able to place their vote for the charity of their choice after the presentation evening.

The online voting will open on Monday 19 August.

All the potential walkers that attend the presentation evening will be added to a preferential list, making it easier for them to do the walk, due to its popularity.

Last year the Lighthouse 2 Lighthouse ladies raised R677 677,39 towards Camphill School for Children with Disabilities: R50 000 went towards the Overstrand Wheelchair Association (OWA) and Overstrand Association of Persons with Disabilities (OAPD).

If you would like to attend the presentation evening RSVP elna.devilliers@telkomsa.net by Tuesday 13 August.
