CANSA asks for help

This year on Mandela Day (Tuesday, 18 July), CANSA aims to collect 6 700 care packs for cancer patients with the help of the public and to distribute it to those in need at public hospitals and CANSA Care Homes.

Donations will be appreciated at CANSA’s Care Centres countrywide.

CANSA aims to bring relief and to inspire hope when they deliver the care packs to newly diagnosed cancer patients or those undergoing treatment.

Many disadvantaged patients not only face the shock of a cancer diagnosis, but are also very poor, not even able to afford basic toiletries, warm items or snacks.

Patients sometimes end up stranded at hospitals when their appointments takes longer than anticipated or they have to undergo more testing procedures than expected.

CANSA wants to provide care packs for as many patients as possible on Mandela Day in keeping with Nelson Mandela’s spirit of kindness, selflessness and generosity.

For more information call the CANSA office in Upington on 054-332-4937.
