Police in Willowmore are investigating a case of culpable
homicide after Dumisane Petros Rawe (43) was killed when the vehicle in
which he was a passenger, rolled on the N9 near Willowmore on Sunday,
February 28 at 22:00.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Bradley
Rawlinson, it is alleged by a passenger, aged 23, that while they
were travelling on the N9 near Willowmore, the driver (aged 45) lost
control of a white Toyota Fortuner SUV and it rolled.
“On arrival of the EMS, Rawe was certified dead,” said
Rawlinson.
He said the body of the deceased was taken to Graaff-Reinet
mortuary.
Rawlinson said a case of culpable homicide is currently
under investigation.
