Childrens’ interest must be at heart

Louis Muller, Kroonstad:

I would like to thank the editor of Kroon News for the courage displayed in publishing the article “Children put first” in Kroon News on 26 November.

In a country where tolerance and political correctness have almost become the rule of law, it comes as a breath of fresh air to read that two people, Teboho Masike, founder of the Linomtha Private School in Kroonstad, and Seugnet Oelofse, who will be the principal, have stated that the school will not be implementing the new sex education curriculum.

To quote from the article, “Oelofse, whose passion is teaching and a love for children, believes it is her duty as an educator to have children’s safety and best interests at heart.”

Could this be what is missing in our public school system?

She obviously has the full support of Masike, the founder.

I thank you on behalf of the parents, and their children who will attend the school. May the Lord bless your endeavours.
