Enjoy Waterblommetjie Festival

Four Paarl wine producers are celebrating the annual waterblommetjie season with a Waterblommetjie Festival on Saturday 1 September.

Boland Cellar, Domaine Brahms, Rhebokskloof Wine Estate and Windmeul Cellar are located within a 5 km radius, which makes it easy for festivalgoers to visit all four participating wineries. Each venue has its own signature waterblommetjie dishes, fantastic wines and amazing entertainment.

Waterblommetjie stew, soup, samoosas, springrolls, waterblommetjie jam and more will be there to sample.

Each participating cellar will be dishing up its own specialities on the day.

Well-known local band Newton & Co will provide live entertainment, while there will be dedicated play areas and activity packs for children.

Join in the fun at Windmeil Cellar as well with its waterblommetjie potjiekos competition or, for the adventurous, take part in Run the Vines in the morning.

And they can sample each cellar’s range of fine wines.

Free entry to all four venues can be secured with the donation of one tin of canned food per vehicle. The food will go the official festival charity, The Haven Night Shelter in Paarl. Collect a stamp from all four participants in your festival passport to qualify for amazing prizes, such as gift vouchers and product hampers.
