Education kudos for tech company

Edit Microsystems, an education technology company that has implemented sustainable Corporate Social Investment (CSI) projects in various subjects at schools, scooped a top award at SABC African EduWeek.

Edit Microsystems was presented with the ICT Supplier of the Year award. The glittering awards gala hosted in Johannesburg saw the education industry come out in force.

Edit Microsystems has implemented sustainable CSI projects in mathematics, science, skills development, literacy and special needs and inclusion.

Some of the schools they have supplied Smart boards to and provided training for in the northern suburbs include the Curro Private School, Durbanville High School, DF Malan High School, Fairmont High School and Tygerberg High School.

The judging panel, made up of experts in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and education, said of Edit Microsystems: “Over the past two decades Edit has rendered an excellent service to schools and education departments throughout South Africa.”

“We believe that by combining the right technology, alternative thinking and partnerships with leading organisations and institutions, we can give every learner, regardless of ability, the opportunity to reach their maximum potential,” says Pieter Labuschagne, managing director of Edit Microsystems
