Counselling was arranged for the children, he says. Middleton says the adult Scouter remained calm and handled the situation very well. “He took the right approach and did not fight back.”

He says an urgent parent committee meeting will be held later this week to discuss future events and to prevent a repeat incident. “We cannot wait for something like this to happen again. We will have to put strict measures in place to prevent another incident,” he says.
