Holiday programmes at Bellville South library

Children who live in Bellville South should make a turn at the Bellville South Library the June school holidays.

The library has interesting programmes to keep kids occupied and you can attend programmes from how to care for your dog to crafts and games.

“We start our holiday programme on Tuesday 18 June with a dog show where the Metro Police will demonstrate social prevention initiatives. On Tuesday June 20 the Fire and Rescue Services will educate attendees about fires and how to prevent it at home,” said Suraya Hassiem, senior librarian of Bellville South library.

On Tuesday 25 June kids will learn how to care and protect animals and this educational programme will be given by the Cape Town Animal Anti-Cruelty League.

On Wednesday 26 June crafts and games will be played and according to Hassiem children will be exposed to the arts which will help their cognitive skills mature, their right brain is developed to achieve full potential of the mind and have fun with games. All programmes start at 10:30.
