Safety talk in Leiden

Delft police held a safety talk at Leiden Primary School in Delft on Wednesday 15 January, where they discussed issues such as substance abuse and bullying at the start of the new school year.

More than 300 learners, teachers and parents listened attentively to the talk by social crime prevention officer, Sgt Siyabonga Dyantyi.

On the same day the sector commanders met with residents from Delft South to establish block committees in Palm, Nannabessie- and Kremetart streets.

Delft police encouraged the community to stand up and identify criminals and to work with the police.

The community was also urged not to take the law into their own hands, but to always contact the police when crime occurs.
