An esteemed community worker in Matjhabeng is requesting help in assisting the Pitso family in Thabong.

Joy Makhate is well-known in the community for his charity work and the aid he gives to less fortunate people.

“No-one in this family is employed and they live in a dilapidated shack,” says Makhate.

“This structure is unstable and could collapse at any moment. Not even the front door is secure.

“The head of this family is Mahlomola Pitso, who lives there with his nephews Moshanyana (13) and Potoko Pitso (10).

“Both children are in school. The family needs assistance to build a new shack.

“It is winter and they also need food, clothes and blankets.”

People who are assisting Makhate with gathering aid for the family are Alfred Mokoena, Pitso Ramokejane and Thato Mokaoleli.

People who would also like to assist can contact Makhathe on 076-579-9035.

“I have been helping my community for many years and this story has really touched me. It is very sad. It is my wish that a good Samaritan will help this family, which is in dire need,” he says.
