Two West Coast cyclists, Fanie van Zyl and Bertie Beukes, recently took on the Munga Mountain Mike Race. Starting in Bloemfontein on Wednesday 2 Dec, it ended five days later on the Doolhof Wine Estate in Wellington. The route, which was a little over 1 000 km, covered some of the most beautiful barren terrain in South Africa, according to the Munga Mountain Mike Race organisers.
