Florianpark soup kitchen a credit to local community

The Darul Hidayah in Florianpark in Worcester has been helping and feeding the community and others in need since the start of the nationwide lockdown through its project Madrassa Darul Hidayah.

The initiative was started a while ago when the group decided to focus on the upliftment of the community, schools and children in the neighbourhood.

The cause expanded to include all communities and areas in Worcester, and to help those in need wherever it could be done.

The soup kitchen proved successful, and gave many a warm meal during current uncertain times.

Darul Hidayah would like to help more people in the community, but relies only on donations and sponsors.

Those associated with it would like to thank the community for supporting the initiative so far, and especially Siraaj Ismail, Nazeem Valley and his family as well as executive members, Mohammed Jameel Waja and Mymoena Latief Waja.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the weekly soup kitchen can contact the Madrassa Darul Hidayah at 023 342 2637.
