Die berigte verwys na Mahatma Gandhi se inhegtenisneming tydens sy stryd om onafhanklikheid vir Indië, en Jan Smuts se ontplooiing van die weermag nadat mynwerkers aan die Witwatersrand in opstand gekom het.
