In commemoration of National Book Week which was held from 7 September to 13 September, Vergenoegd Primary in Voorbrug, Delft, made use of mobile libraries which were donated by Living Through Learning (LTL).
Natalie Roos, LTL manager, explained that the school forms part of the Capsule project which is made possible by Coronation Fund Managers.
“The mobile libraries were donated to all the foundation phase classes in the school to cultivate a culture of reading that starts in the classroom.
“The “book boats” make it a fun experience for learners to take a book and read inside the “boat” whilst their minds are being stimulated.
“The library is strategically arranged according to easy, medium and advanced reading abilities. The educators received training on how to use the library effectively to support the reading journey of the learners.”
