Handball shouts ring out and the VAR room are reportedly looking into it but with the venom, Martinelli struck it with it seems unlikely to be taken further.

PENALTY, ARSENAL! Iwobi might be a little bit unlucky but it was his own poor defending that left him in trouble.

Everton string together their best passing play and it ends with a chance but Gray can't keep his effort on goal down and Arsenal have the goal kick.
Arsenal are being allowed a lot of time and space on the ball and as a result Everton find themselves pegged back.
Nervous moments at the back for Arsenal as they are a little too casual on the ball around their own box.
CHANCE! Saka is in on goal but Branthwaite just does enough to put him off and the Arsenal attacker puts his left-footed shot just wide.
HALF TIME: ARSENAL 2-1 EVERTON
+ 3' GOAL, EVERTON, VAN DE BEEK, 2-1: Calvert-Lewin does brilliantly to draw defenders wide and square for Van de Beek to tap home for his first Everton goal.
+1' SAVE! Xhaka fires a shot goalwards but Begovic gets down well and pushes the ball well away from goal.
Everton get a bit of possession but can't turn it into a shot on goal.
FOUL! Tavares fouls Calvert-Lewin and Everton have a free kick early in the second half.
The second half is underway and soon Arsenal find themselves under pressure and Ramsdale has to punt it into touch.
Cedric does well to get it behind under pressure and his intervention was vital with plenty lurking in blue. Everton cannot make the most of the corner.
Arsenal are now content to calm things down and keep hold of the ball.
Xhaka just can't get onto an inviting cross into the Everton area but Arsenal look capable of crafting plenty of chances.
Everton struggle to get forward and waste their possession with a wayward pass from Van de Beek.
A clumsy foul on Tavares is spotted by the referee and Arsenal have a free kick just inside their own half.
SHOT! Tavares takes on a shot but it is a wild swipe with his wrong foot and it won't even trouble Begovic who watches it sail over the Everton goal.
GOAL, ARSENAL, CEDRIC, 3-1:
The corner is taken short and Cedric passes it into the goal before Begovic can react.
Arsenal have another corner with Nketiah doing the legwork again.
Saka is played onside and breaks clear and sprints towards the Everton goal and again Branthwaite does well to get back and clear but it will be another corner.

Gabriel produces a striker's finish after finding himself in on goal as Everton fail to clear.
A long old VAR review is complete and it stays 4-1 as the goal stands.

Ramsdale has to be sharp to gather a loose ball in the Arsenal box and he bundles it forward for another Gunners charge.
