
The teachers of the Eunice High School were honoured on 25 February at the well-done function of the Free State Department of Education, held in Thaba Nchu, for the outstanding marks attained in their subjects during the 2022 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination.
The school received a golden award for a 100% pass rate (37th consecutive year), and being the school with the highest percentage of bachelor’s passes in the Free State, with 150 out of 154 girls receiving a bachelors pass.
Eunice came out on top in the Free State in four subjects, took second place in five, and third place in two subjects.
The school placed first in Accounting, Afrikaans First Additional Language (FAL), English Home Language (HL) and Design (extra).
Eunice was second in Computer Application Technology (CAT), Consumer studies, Economics, Life Science, and Dance (extra). Third place was for Drama and History.
In the Motheo district, Eunice claimed six first places, four second places, and two third places.
First place was thanks to Accounting, Afrikaans FAL, CAT, English HL, Life Science, and Design (extra). Second place was for Consumer Studies, Economics, Drama, Visual Art and Dance (extra), and third for Mathematics, History and Visual Art.
