The Gordon’s Bay Lions Club will uphold a decades-long tradition of selling traditional Christmas cakes as a fundraising initiative this year.
This has been a major fundraising project of Lions clubs in South Africa since 1975.
The fruity cake, which is filled with a rich blend of spices, fruits and nuts, is an age-old traditional treat that many households cannot go without during the festive season.
The traditional rich fruit cake weighs 1 kg, is alcohol-free and costs R135, which is competitively priced compared to other Christmas cakes available at shops.
When you buy a Lions Christmas cake for yourself or receive a wonderful cake as a gift from someone you are contributing to the Lions’ service projects, as all funds raised are used to finance projects in the local community.
. Order your cakes by sending an email to email@example.com or visit https://e-clubhouse.org/sites/gordonsbay/ to order online. Alternatively, contact the Gordon’s Bay Lions Club on 081 341 0980.
